The landscape is unlike any other found in the country, and the weather, while much colder than the other tourist areas, is crisp and refreshing. The Green Belt is a 500-acre parcel of land that encompasses the center of the city, which is officially known as Otago Harbour. This region is much more lush and green than the majority of New Zealand, and the gorgeous countryside is complemented by a wonderful array of shops and interesting sights.
